Discovering the Hidden Gem of Rangko Cave near Labuan Bajo
Rangko Cave, situated near Labuan Bajo, is a real treasure waiting to be discovered. A half-hour drive to Rangko village is required to reach the cave, where you can take a local boat to get there. Alternatively, you can rent a boat from Labuan Bajo and cruise by sea. The best time to visit is around noon when the sun’s rays shine through the cave’s entrance, creating a stunning turquoise color. Thanks to a wooden stairway, accessing the pool is now much simpler. You can swim inside the cave, but as you go further in, it will get darker. Climb the slippery rocks to jump into the pool, float in the highly-dense saltwater, and admire the stalactites and stalagmites. If you’re lucky, you’ll have the cave all to yourself to soak in the tranquility and breathtaking views.
